The residential area Neu-Borstel lies on the outskirts of Bispingen, the old farming village “Borstel in der Kuhle” in the Brunau valley at the edge of Borstel Switzerland about 1 km from Bispingen. 380 inhabitants live here in the immediate vicinity to the “Bispinger Heidepark” and the Borstel Hollows.

The Borstel Hollows – also called Borstel Switzerland – is one of the most beautiful spots in the municipality of Bispingen. Its elevation allows fantastic open views and the valleys display pristine Heath. Sit down on one of the benches and enjoy the sunset or get active on the Nordic walking Trail across the hilly landscape.

In the area around Borstel you will find scores of tumuli; some have been excavated and examined. Information boards explain the different burial customs.
